Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device (computer, phone, or tablet) when you visit them. They are used for various purposes such as remembering your preferences, enabling functionality, and understanding how you use the website.

Alliance42 stores your cookie consent preferences in a small first-party cookie called alliance42_consent. The full inventory is below.

2. What Cookies We Use

Alliance42 uses very few cookies. We do not use any marketing or advertising cookies, and we do not use analytics tracking services such as Google Analytics.

We do not use marketing cookies. We do not use tracking cookies. We do not use third-party analytics.

3. How We Obtain Consent

When you first visit alliance42.eu, a cookie consent banner appears at the bottom of the page.

The banner has three actions: 'Accept all' grants consent to chat and analytics, 'Reject non-essential' denies both, and 'Preferences' opens a dialog where you can choose each category individually.

In the preferences dialog, the Essential category is always on · it stores your consent choice in the alliance42_consent cookie so we know not to ask you again. Chat (Crisp) and Analytics (Plausible) are off by default and only switched on if you choose to.

Crisp live chat cookies are only set after you grant chat consent and click a chat button to start a conversation. No chat cookies are loaded until both conditions are met.

You can use our website fully without accepting non-essential cookies. We do not use cookie walls.

4. How to Withdraw Consent

You can withdraw your cookie consent at any time by:

  • Clicking the 'Cookie preferences' link in the footer to re-open the preferences dialog and change your choices
  • Clearing the alliance42_consent cookie via your browser settings (the consent banner will reappear on your next visit)

Clearing your browser data removes any Crisp chat cookies. They will only return if you grant chat consent again and start a new chat.

5. How to Delete Cookies

You can delete cookies already stored on your device through your browser settings. Here is how in common browsers:

  • Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Clear browsing data
  • Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data > Clear Data
  • Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Clear browsing data

Note that deleting cookies may affect your experience on other websites as well.

6. Third-Party Cookies

The only third-party cookies used on alliance42.eu come from Crisp IM SAS, our live chat provider. These cookies are only set when you actively start a chat conversation.

Crisp is a French company operating within the EU. You can read Crisp's privacy policy at: https://crisp.chat/en/privacy/

We do not embed any other third-party services that set cookies (no social media widgets, no advertising networks, no external analytics).

7. Updates to This Policy

We may update this cookie policy to reflect changes in our cookie usage or legal requirements. The date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last updated.

For questions about our use of cookies, contact us at contact@alliance42.eu.
